Philippine Taoist Temple

Have you watched some of the movies of Jet Li? Or movies in Chinese settings where you can see temples with dragons  and Chinese architectural designs? Would you believe that you can find one in the Queen City of the south-Cebu City?
In Cebu City’s uptown going toward the mountains of Lahug inside Beverly Hills Subdivision lies a temple called The Philippine Taoist Temple. The magnificence of its structural design and the place where it was constructed is almost perfect as what it is intended to. The solemnity and ambiance is perfect for prayer and meditation. As if you are in China. You can see the splendor of Cebu City that is overlooking from its balcony.

But wait, how can we get there? Wherever you are in Cebu City, drive through JY Square in Lahug if you are in private car or commute through there if you don't have a car. That is your landmark. From there you can hire a habal-habal(single motorcycle) going to Taoist temple. I will also provide the map below for those with the private vehicles. You will have to leave your ID at the entrance of Beverley Hills Subdivision. If you are in a group, just leave one ID for the group. They have a large parking lot for vehicles. And one thing which is good about it is that there is no parking or entrance fee for visitors.

The place is solemn. Visitors are not allowed to make noise in order to maintain its solemnity. Taking pictures is allowed outside but not inside the prayer rooms. Taking pictures of saints is prohibited. You can pray if you like provided that you follow procedures if how they do it.
